On June 24, 2011 as part of the agreement about cooperation the common extended meeting of academic councils of the Institute of Higher Education of Ukrainian National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences and Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University was held.

Some questions about European integration processes of Ukrainian higher school, achievements and obstacles on the way of our country entering to world educational space, increase of national educational quality, directions of educational sphere reformation and educational management improvement were at the center of attention. Doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor, academician, director of the Institute of Higher Education of Ukrainian National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences V. Lugovyi made a report "Strategy of regional university development in terms of European integration".

The speech of university rector, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor, corresponding member of Ukrainian National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences N. Pobirchenko was devoted to the question of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University potential development. Problems of contemporary university in the context of its place on regional level were examined in the speech of the candidate of physico-mathematical sciences, professor, corresponding member of Ukrainian National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences, the first deputy director of scientific work of the Institute of Higher Education of Ukrainian National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences M. Stepko.

Resolution that was accepted by academic councils provides for active cooperation between the Institute of Higher Education of Ukrainian National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences and Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University in theoretical and methodical support of the process of national higher education formation, its development and functioning as integral system according to newest achievements of national and world science and culture, social and pedagogical practice in obedience to the tasks of Ukrainian state making and entering of Ukrainian education to European and world educational space.
