Our university is a cultural and spiritual centre; it’s an example of Ukrainian traditions and customs revival. At city festival of decorative arts “Pysanka of Uman” the USPU representatives demonstrated their talents.

There were conducted master classes in: carving, conducted by Vitaliy Potapkin; pysankys writing – by students Olena Chornous and Alyona Plakhotnyuk; Ukrainian embroidery – by Tetyana Ponomarenko and Viktoria Stryzhak and their supervisor, candidate of pedagogical sciences, assistant professor Natalia Mamchur.

At the exhibition were presented works by students and lecturers of different departments: Department of Arts, Professional and Technology Education Department, Pre-school and Correction Education Department, Nature and Geography Department, Institute of Economics and Business Education.

The event was hosted by a student of Ukrainian Philology Department Daria Kraynova and a student of Foreign Languages Department Bohdan Hroza.

A good mood and festive atmosphere were created by members of USPU Theatre of Drama and Comedy Diana Horych, Maryna Tiutia, Bohdan Moroz, Anastasia Kunytska, Ruslan Mamalyha, Anastasia Nakonechna, Ivan Muzychko, Valeria Pinkovetska, Maria Holovko, Natalia Holiak under the guidance of Natalia Alekseeva. They told about traditions of Easter Holidays and invited to visit master classes.

Responsible for the university representation in the festival of decorative arts and Easter fair “Pysanka of Uman” and organization of the exhibition were Volodymyr Lopushan and Lyudmyla Hekaliuk.

USPU representatives showed at the event their best. It was testified by guests and participants of master classes. Rector of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, professor Oleksandr Beslyudniy received a letter of gratitude from head of Department of Culture at Uman City Council Tetiana Heyko.
