Last week, the University delegation consisting of vice-rector (Scientific and educational work) Tetyana Kochubey and head of Foreign Students’ Department Yuliya Klymenko visited Baku Business University. Our University representatives participated in the 20th university’s anniversary celebration and in the conference dedicated to the development of international relations.

The second agreement with Baku University was signed during the trip. The first agreement certified cooperation in foreign students’ admission, and the second one related to academic exchanges between our universities. Students of Economics Department have the opportunity to study at Baku University during the definite period, and for our part, we will teach students from Azerbaijan. The opportunity of posting the USPU researchers’ articles in Baku University Journal "Audyt" was also discussed during the talks.


Also contacts with Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University were established. The University delegation discussed the directions of cooperation with the head of Strategic Development and International Relations Department Nana Kurshubadze, head of Finance, Accounting and Audit Department Asiye Tsyntsadtse and Doctor of Economics, Professor, Academician of Georgia Academy of Economic Sciences Badri Heshbayya.

The USPU delegation met with Ambassador Extraordinary of Ukraine in Azerbaijan Oleksandr Mishchenko. The Ambassador assured the willingness to cooperate in the field of foreign students’ selection to our university.

The program of celebration included the opening of the museum and Gaydar Aliyev monument. International relations sector in the museum disposed the photo about the moment of the first contract’s signing with our university.

Rector of Baku Business University Ibad Musa Abbasov expressed his respect and gratitude to the USPU staff for their greetings and gifts and presented souvenirs to our university - a book about the Baku University, where the cooperation between our universities was highlighted and antique musical instruments of Azerbaijan that accompany national mugam - the main genre of Azerbaijani folk music.
