On June 23, 2011 the seminar of higher educational establishments trade-union leaders on statutory activity questions was organized by Cherkasy Trade-union Regional Committee. It took place in Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University.

The main speakers at the seminar were: University Rector, prof. N. Pobirchenko, O. Zhaldak - Head of Cherkasy Trade-union Regional Committee of workers of education and science of Ukraine, heads of trade-unions of Bogdan Khmelnytskyi Cherkassy National University M. Kurchenko, Cherkassy State Technological University A. Boiko, Uman State Pedagogical University O. Osadchyi, deputy head of university trade-union on the work with youth M. Gagarin, head of students’ council A. Chuhriy.

There was an interesting conversation about administration and trade-union cooperation in workers’ rights and interests defense, work provision and recreation conditions, social and economic development of universities. The problem of summer sanitation of workers, students and their children was also under attention.
