On the 15th of May in the central Uman public garden was held the city youth festival “Responsibility starts with me”, dedicated to International Family Day. In the festival participated pupils and students of Uman educational establishments, family health complexes, “Clinics friendly to the Youth”.

The event was organized by the family and youth matters department of Uman city council. They offered the youth, adults, families a short concert, competitions, master classes, lotteries, exhibitions, flash mobs.

Our university participated in the festival too. Members of Student national drama and comedy theatre (art director – Nataliia Alekseeva) prepared and extract from the play “Matchmaking at Honcharivka” to the play of H. Kvitka-Osnovianenko. Nataliia Skunyda, Olena Dihtiaruk and Ivan Soltusenko played their parts very well. Social and Psychological Service at Social and Psychological Education Department organized games and competitions. The event’s presenters were students from our university.

This day everyone had an opportunity to sing, dance, measure his height and weight, observe sportsmen’s master classes; the festival propagates healthy and active way of life.

International Family Day is a special holiday for each of us, as Ukrainians are famous by their family traditions, many children families, spiritual unity of generations, respect of parents and mother.
