It has become a good academic tradition for the student council to hold the annual “Song Opening Day". This time it was attended by the 22 representatives of all the Departments.

The students showed themselves as true artists for whom nothing is impossible.

The Grand Prix winner was Yulia Lysyanska, a student of Arts and Pedagogics Department.

And the first place was won by Julia Kybalchuk, a student of Ukrainian Philology Department.

The second place was shared between Oleksandr Kolomiyets, a student of Arts and Pedagogics Department, and Anna Bohun, a student of Natural Sciences and Geography Department.

The third place was won by Yaroslav Tkachenko, a student of History Department and Rasim Bagirov, a student of Arts and Pedagogics Department.

Especially memorable was the performance of "Orion" rock band of the Sociology and Psychology Department. The band has considerably grown in its work.

All the winners and participants were awarded with diplomas and valuable gifts.

The Student Council is grateful to the University administration, Natalia Pobirchenko, the Rector of the University for supporting the gifted youth, and Oleksandr Osadchiy, the trade union Chairman for the gifts. This attention and support is a great incentive for the students in their social and cultural work.
