The Sociology and Psychology Department of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University has always been one of the most active and enthusiastic teams.

Recently the Department team has celebrated its professional holiday – a Week of Psychologist. The event was bright with a series of campaigns, workshops, competitions and much more.

The students had been busy all the week long creating a colorful fairy tale of true positive mood for the entire school. They held the "Bring up a smile" campaign ( in the lobby of the new building, and the yard they were handing out balloons bearing some funny emoticons and "Smile" inscriptions), "Live picture - creating by our own hands " (offered an opportunity for all the interested people to evince the artistic talents and to paint something with brushes or just hands). Overall it was a fairly good art therapy for both the students as well as the teachers. “Learn more about the work of Psychologist” (the Psychology Department students conducted various interesting tests and procedures with everyone who volunteered), "Let’s change the roles" (teachers of the Department were able to see themselves with the eyes of the students), "Learn more about yourself," "Psychological bouquet", "Bring some joy to your child," "Super psychologist". And the volunteers were holding a charity event – the sales of promotional calendars.

Students had the opportunity to attend interesting lectures and trainings: the "Psychology of the third millennium" was hold by Rita Admoni - consultant psychologist of the charitable organization at the United Nations. The teachers of the Department conducted the trainings: "Diagnosing the emotional burnout syndrome in future psychologists" (Maryna Mishchenko) and "Parents and Children: the art of communication "(Natalia Chudayeva).

Also, the Week of Psychologist was marked by the "Big race of psychologists" quest (held in the Sofiyivka Park), the "The Sociology and Psychology Department is one family" flash mob with the concert brightened the day.

The solemn part of the concert was awarding the best of the best students in the categories "Best artist", "Best student-scientist", "Best athlete", "Leader", "Best Volunteer", "Best Journalist", "Best Student family "," Best Group of the Department "," Best group leader "and" Best Student".

The week full of events ended with a ball of psychologists taking place in the "Ixia" night DJ-cafe. Before being submerged into the atmosphere of music and drive all the participants released the dozens of shining of lanterns into the night sky.

The Department staff is really friendly and teamed up. And it was only due to the consistent efforts that they could implement all the above mentioned interesting activities.
