On December 10, a scientific-methodical seminar "Psychological and pedagogical principles of interpersonal relationships' optimization in the educational environment" was held according to cooperation between Psychology Chair of USPU and Uman District State Administration and Department of District Education. The seminar was visited by directors of Uman district schools, psychologists and social pedagogues, teachers, lecturers of Psychology Chair.

Problems related to the prevention of negative phenomena in students' group are highlighted at the seminar. The problem of preventing suicidal behavior of students was focused attention on, the causes and ways to prevent suicides, motives of self-aggression and its prevention were discussed. Head of the Department of Education Oksana Suprunets, Ph.D. (Psychology), assistant professor Galyna Shuldyk, senior lecturer Oksana Demchuk, USPU practical psychologist Nataliya Korniyenko spoke at the plenary.

A pleasant surprise for the participants of scientific and methodological seminar was a concert program of creative groups of lecturers and students of Arts and Pedagogics Department. Trio "Gonta", people's amateur folk dance ensemble "Yavoryna", amateur modern dance ensemble "Vizavi", amateur folk instrumental ensemble "Akvareli", students of Arts and Pedagogics Department Oleksandr Kolomiyets and Volodymyr Derenyuk, associate professor of Music Art Chair Vladyslav Gusak performed at the concert.

Psychology Chair thanks to Dean of Arts and Pedagogics Department, Associate Professor Olena Dudnyk and deputy dean on academic work Anastasiya Kryvorotenko for organization and conducting the concert.

Participants had an opportunity to attend workshops: "The Psychology of Conflict Resolution" (workshop given by Ph.D. (Psychology), associate professor Tetyana Perepelyuk), "Relaxation as a method of aggressive behavior prevention" (workshop given by lecturer Iryna Ilchenko), "Correction of profanity among peers" (workshop given by practical psychologist of Dmytrushky secondary school).
