At sports ground of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University during 3 days were held competitions in mini-football for Rector’s Cup.

In the debut participated 10 mixed teams of the university: Institute of Economics and Business Education; departments – History Department, Nature and Geography Department, Foreign Languages Department, Ukrainian Philology Department, Social and Psychology Education Department, Professional and Technology Education Department, Physics Mathematics and Informatics Department; Department of Arts, Physical Training Department; mixed team of foreign students from Turkmenistan.

According to statute of the competition, the tournament was being held during 3 days. The teams were playing until only 2 teams were left.

Institute of Economics and Business Education team was playing surprisingly well. In the beginning this team didn’t show its best, but after it demonstrated better and better results, winning out teams of Physics Mathematics and Informatics Department, foreign students from Turkmenistan and a strong team of History Department.

In the final therefore met teams of Institute of Economics and Business Education and Physical Training Department. The first scored Physical Training Department, after a break Institute of Economics and Business Education made a score equal 1:1, and after they won with 1:2. The last minute, the best player of the tournament Roman Potapov equalized the score 2:2 and gave a chance to his team. The teams played 6-meters kicks. The mixed team of Physical Training Department turned out to be stronger, scoring 3:2 and winning the Rector’s Cup.

Rector of the University Oleksandr Beslyudniy observed the game, enthusiasm and will of victory in both teams.

Awarding the teams, Oleksandr Ivanovych thanked all the students, heads of the departments and organizers for participation in the tournament, wonderful game, delivered all the teams gratitudes and diplomas. The rector awarded the best player of the tournament Roman Potapov and gave medals and a Cup to the team-winner.

Now Physical Education Department will be holder of the Rector’s Cup one year.
