Plein-air practice is an essential component of professional training of future fine arts teachers. The word "Plein Air" comes from the French word plein-air, that is, drawing from nature landscapes, at the open space.

Every year in early summer the first and the second year students of "Fine Arts" specialty have a plein-air practice under the supervision of an experienced teacher - the member of Ukrainian National Union of Artists Gennadiy Kleschar.

After training in the classrooms, students work with pleasure in nature, as it is the opening of a new, special world, a kind of creative workshop. Of course, the first steps are hard, but the teacher always comes to help, advise, analyze mistakes and tell the right decision. Every day our hands become subtler, strokes bolder and colors brighter. Picturesque city parts such as "Sofiyivka", Ostashivka pond, architectural monuments and quiet streets come to life on paper ... Uman has many magnificent views!

The best students’ works will be exhibited at the exhibition devoted to Artist Day, which is annually celebrated in October. We invite all concerned to visit the creative report of future teachers, whose calling is to create beauty and give it audience! The exposition will be located in the lobby of University new building. We are waiting for you!
