Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University and The Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa have been united by long-term fruitful cooperation for almost fifteen years. This cooperation includes various formats: academic mobility (semester and degree), joint conferences, scientific internships of graduate students and teachers. USPU actively cooperates with the educators of the city of Częstochowa.

After the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, millions of Ukrainians were forced to find themselves abroad, in particular in Poland. The city of Częstochowa sheltered several thousand, where the Ukrainian community has been quite active for several years.

At the end of January 2023, Prof. Oleksandr Bezlyudny, rector of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University and Maryana Yemelyanova, head of the «Our Home Czestochowa» Foundation, founder and director of the Ukrainian School in Czestochowa, signed an agreement on cooperation in the educational field. The document, signed first on January 20 in Częstochowa, and then on January 27 in Uman, provides for the university's patronage of the school, support for the educational process, and the involvement of scientific and pedagogical workers in conducting classes at the Ukrainian School. At the same time, the school in Częstochowa will also be the first unique platform for pedagogical practice of students in Ukrainian educational institutions abroad. We are convinced that this cooperation will enrich both USPU and the Ukrainian School, because together they will popularize Ukraine abroad.
