Recently, the representatives of the British Council in Ukraine, foreign languages and methods of its teaching lecturers of the ??universities from all regions of Ukraine participated in a constituent conference within the framework of Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science and the British Council in Ukraine joint project “Teacher of new generation”. Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Borys Zhebrovskyi was the chairman.

The conference was attended by the representatives of Foreign Languages Department of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University: Oksana Zabolotna - Coordinator of International Education in USPU, Ph.D. (Pedagogics), professor of Practice Of Foreign Languages Chair; Alla Gembaruk - Deputy Dean on humanities and socialization work, Ph.D. (Pedagogics), assistant professor of English Language and Methods of Its Teaching Chair; and Olena Bevz – Deputy Dean on teaching practice, Ph.D. (Pedagogics), senior lecturer of English Language and Methods of Its Teaching Chair.

The participants discussed such questions as studying of the current state of foreign language teachers’ training; analysis and use of advanced experience of the universities in Ukraine and Great Britain to prepare qualified specialists; development and implementation of an appropriate regulatory framework and methodical materials, etc.
