Annually and it’s already the 15th time that Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Ukrainian Maecenas League organize Petro Yatsyk competition in the Ukrainian language. The aim of the competition is to consolidate status of the Ukrainian language is state language, its prestige raising and respect to the native language upbringing. In the competition take part pupils of schools (3-11 form), students of vocational schools, and HEI.

This year students of Ukrainian Philology Department proved their good knowledge of Ukrainian. At XV Petro Yatsyk International competition in the Ukrainian language experts the victory was gained by first year students.

I place took Illiana Bondarenko (scientific supervisors: Candidates in Philology, assistant professors Zoya Komarova and Tetyana Grygorenko).

II place took Alyona Mandzyuk (scientific supervisors: Candidates in Philology, assistant professors Tetyana Grygorenko and Oksana Zelinska) and Iryna Tyhovska (scientific supervisors: Candidates in Philology, assistant professors Valentyna Rozgon and Iryna Gontsa).

III place took Kateryna Bondar (scientific supervisors: Candidates in Philology, assistant professors Tetyana Zhyla and Inna Kolomiets’).
