During the May holidays Iryna Vasyltsova, the Representative of Nature and Geography Department, Deputy Dean for Education took part in the international project for school leavers, students, student government leaders and teachers of Ukrainian universities. She was a member of the five-day trip on the "Lviv - Krakow - Lublin - Lviv" route.

During this visit the participants learned about the higher education system of Poland and visited five universities, including the Jagiellonian University, the University of Economics and Graduate School of Banking and Management (Cracow), Graduate School of Business and Administration (WSPA), the University of Vincent Pol (Lublin).

Members of the project participated in the student conferences where they not only familiarized themselves with the system of education in each school, but were able to communicate with each of the university Rectors, and also - Polish and Ukrainian students who study and work there. After the conference everyone enjoyed the classroom tours.

It should be noted that Polish universities pay a considerable attention to the students with special needs to make them feel confident thanks to the wheelchair ramps, elevators, and special signs with Braille script on the classroom doors that help them find the right classroom.

Each activity was concluded with tasty dinners in the student cafeterias where everyone was treated with traditional Polish dishes. All the members received the Certificates for active participation in the international forum of students and teachers signed by the Rector.

The participants had the opportunity to explore the beautiful architecture, learn about the religion, and see the local customs thanks to the city tour of Poland, and go down 130 meters in the Wieliczka Salt Mine in Krakow for great impressions. The project helped the students and the University staff to discover the beauty of the neighboring countries, to get familiarized with the higher education system and explore the prospects of studying at Polish universities.
