On the first of October at Pavlo Tychyna USPU was held a festive concert dedicated to International Music Day. Lecturers and students of the department (dean – Leonid Yatlo) prepared a concert of arts.

In the assembly hall gathered lecturers, students and representatives of community, those who like arts. The concert program united classical and variety, instrumental and vocal works of Ukrainian and foreign authors.

The festival of music was open by a choir “Kobzar” (stage director – Vasyl Semenchuk) and Ukrainian song adapted by A. Kupchyk “In the meadows there is a guelder rose”.

Instrumental duet “Elegante” consisting of Elena Vasych and Anatoliy Kovalenko, soloists-instrumentalists: Olga Gupalo, trumpeter Yaroslav Yashan performed “Liargo” by Mykhailo Skorulskyi and “Spring waters” by S. Rakhmaninov; Elena Vasych fluted “Espagnol” by Wilhelm Buhner.

National ensemble “Aquarelles” (director – Vira Kalabska) consisting of Kataryna Bigichevych, Tamara Milovanovych, Anastasia Melnyck, Bohdan Kozoriz, Vladyslav Melnyck, Vladyslav Ivanov presented the audience a lot of positive emotions, performing “Minuet” by Paul Moria.

Favorite melody of Raymond Pauls “Legend about amber” was performed by an ensemble “Renaissance”.

Performance of guitar duet “Misteria” and Gennadiy Bezyazychnyi was an excellent masterly and highly skilled appearance.

National colouring to music festival was created by playful composition “A Monk was coming back from march”, performed by national amateur band “Sofia” (director – Vasyl Semenchuk).

The audience was really amazed by performances of Oleksandr Bidenko and Tetyana Borylo. Oleksandr sang an amateur song “I know” and “Feeling good”, Tetyana performed a song “New York”.

National amateur band of contemporary dance “Vizavi” (director – Lyudmyla Androschuk) and national amateur ensemble of national dance “Yavoryna” (director – Sergiy Kutsenko) congratulated arts admirers. On the high level the collectives performed songs “Snowstorm”, “Toreador’s mantle”, and “Spring time”.

The concert was adorned by a group “Serbian star” (director – Olena Ustymenko-Kosorich), consisting of Serbian students Aleksandar Geogevych, Darko Markovych, Yovan Drmanich.

The audience’s ovations were caused by performance of vocal trio “Gonta” (director – Valentyn Kupchyk). Ukrainian national song “Nobody flies like this”, sang by Honoured Culture Workers Vasyl Semenchuk, Petro Voloshyn and Valentyn Kupchyk captured all the present.

The final accord of the festive concert was a common performance of the “Songs about a song”, composed by Taras Petrynenko, by the concert participants.

In the end of the event a dean of Department of Arts, Honoured Culture Worker of Ukraine Leonid Yatlo congratulated everybody on International Music Day, a holiday, which has been celebrated all over the world for 40 years. Leonid Petrovych thanked everybody for a wonderful concert, its multiformity, aesthetic pleasure and atmosphere of harmony.

The festive concert presented unforgettable moments of autumn upheaval and inspiration.
