The first stage of a project “Innovative university and leadership”, organized on the initiative of Warsaw University «ArtesLiberales» Department, Ukrainian HEI Rector Union and International fund of educational research policy was successfully finished.

The aim of the project is training of academic leaders who are willing to introduce innovative approaches in high school and separate educational establishments management, directed towards new educational technologies implementation in Ukrainian Universities.

30 representatives of HEI from all over Ukraine participated in the project. Head of Polish cultural and educational centre Kateryna Kuzan represented Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University.

In the period from the 2nd until 28th of November on the basis of Warsaw University, project participators took part in training, conducted by famous Polish scientists and high school directors. During the meetings, participators discussed problems of education quality in HEI ensuring, corruption evasion, international cooperation, and distance education. The project programme included individual consultations with Polish experts in higher education.

The task of the project was both Polish colleagues experience sharing and project ideas for Ukraine making up in order to implement new Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education” and offers and recommendations to legal framework in higher education and science development.

In the end of the session in Warsaw all the participants expressed their ideas and determined potential steps for their realization. The methodology of plans realization was defined. For the next stage of project realization, “Innovative university and leadership” will be held in Kyiv in March 2015 a seminar with mini-projects.
