At Department of Arts was held II International scientific and practical conference “Theoretical and Methodological Aspects of Art Education: Achievements, Problems and Perspectives”, organized by Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University (Department of Arts), Institute of Pedagogical Education and Adult Education of NAPS of Ukraine (Content and Organization of Pedagogical Education Department), Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University (Institute of Arts), Anton Makarenko Sumy State Pedagogical University (Department of Arts).

In the conference participated scientists from different parts of Ukraine (Kyiv, Odesa, Poltava, Sumy, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, Chekassy, Korovohrad, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Uman, Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyi, Bila Tserkva, Boguslav, Berdiansk, Slaviansk, Kryvyi Rih, Kamianets-Podilskyi, Shevchenkove), and from the other countries, such as Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Azerbaijan, China, Syria, Serbia and Montenegro.

The welcoming speech at plenary meeting made pro-rector in scientific work and international collaboration of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, candidate of historical sciences, professor Vladylena Sokyrska.

Dean of Department of Arts of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, assistant professor Leonid Yatlo congratulated all the present on the beginning of the conference’s work.

Music salutation – Ukrainian song in adaptation by Vasyl Semenchuk “From the hill thick fog falls” – presented vocal trio “Gonta” (artistic director – Valentyn Kupchyk).

Composition “Pompeii” (music by Maximo Diego Pujol), fragment from suite “Buenos Aires” were performed by instrumental duet “Elegante” consisting of Yelena Vasych and Anatoliy Kovalenko (artistic director – Anatoliy Kovalenko).

The main discussed problems of the conference were theoretical and methodological aspects of art education. Conceptual approaches in contemporary music and pedagogical education of Ukraine raised a doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor at Institute of Arts of M. Drahomanov National Pedagogical University Olga Tscholokova.

Problem of content and essence of media presentations in preparation of fine arts specialists revealed candidate of pedagogical sciences, assistant professor at Grygoriy Skovoroda Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyi State Pedagogical University Oksana Smirnova.

Ideomotoric intensification of future specialists in arts (Instrumental direction) characterized candidate of pedagogical sciences, assistant professor at Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University Vladyslav Gusak.

Organization of child choreography festival as one of pedagogical conditions of individual creative skills development of future choreography teachers were scientifically grounded by lecturer at Choreography and Fine Arts Chair of at Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University Olga Bykova.

The work of the conference anticipated not only presentation of scientific reports. Lecturers of Department of Arts conducted master classes.
In the entrance hall of the university building № 3 took place an exhibition of students’ and lecturers’ works “Arts Opening Day”. Volodymyr Lopushan presented an interesting master class of works of ceramics; Leonid Melnychenko introduced a measter class in flute performance.

Participators of II International scientific and practical conference “Theoretical and Methodological Aspects of Art Education: Achievements, Problems and Perspectives” worked hardly and gained experience.
