USPU representatives together with the city community have celebrated an outstanding holiday of Ukrainian statehood - the 25th anniversary of Ukraine's independence.

The celebration started by a minute of silence in memory of the fighters who had died for liberty, freedom and independence of Ukraine, thus confirming that Independence Day is a holiday of the memory about generations of our ancestors who were creating the Ukrainian nation.

Dance groups performed a flash mob «We are for Peace», and then the volunteers, participants of the celebration and parade of embroidered shirts „For You, Ukraine” unrolled blue and yellow flag and went to the monument to the Great Kobzar. The participants also laid flowers at the foot of the monument.

Uman residents and guests were also able to enjoy the performance of pupils of aesthetic education schools "Let's unite, beloved family!" and exhibition of art works and products of masters of arts and crafts "Art Alley", and in the evening to see a concert of the city music groups “For You, Ukraine!”.
