Under such title was held Charity festival of creative work, dedicated to the International Disabled People Day, which was celebrated in the university assembly hall on the 4th of December. The event was initiated by Social and Educational Integration of Students with Special Needs Scientific and Practical Centre “Without barriers” (coordinator – Maya Perfilyeva). The co-organizers were Social and Psychological Education Department, (dean – Oksana Kravchenko), School of Advanced Experience “Social Knowledge School”, Labour and Social Protection of Citizen Administration (head – Galyna Kucher), Family and Youth Matters Department of Uman City Council (director – Nataliya Vdovychenko).

In the festival participated children with special needs from Early Rehabilitation Centre “Prolisok”, Social and Psychological Education Department students, and disabled students who study at our university.

This day songs and poems about Ukraine, love, happy childhood were performed.

Children from Early Rehabilitation Centre “Prolisok” presented an excited performance. Vitalik Kucher sang a song and declared a poem; the other children danced “Vinochok” and sang a song “Ty zh mene pidmanula”.

The audience stood up from their seats and applauded the artists, who showed that they have right to live in society and they deserve respect.

The concert programme also included performances of Yaryna Umanets (with the composition “Tenderness”), rock band “Orion” (with their own songs “The answer”, “What is love?”), Veronika Smetanka (with the patriotic poem “For you, Ukraine”), vocalists Roman Datsko, Anna Kachapkina, Nataliya Sitarchuk, Oksana Striletska.

The song “Mother” was performed by means of gesture language and made the audience crying.

Students of group 25 at SPED presented the audience their vision of the Ukrainian national tale “Ripka”.

In the end of the festival director of Family and Youth Matters Department of Uman City Council Nataliya Vdovychenko awarded Social and Psychological Education Department an honorary diploma for contribution into state youth policy realization, healthy life propagation, and active participation in organization of events in the framework of the International Disabled People Day.

The festival participators were awarded with diplomas and received presents from university trade union committee.
