Today in the central square of the city was held the all-city event, dedicated to Dignity and Liberty Day; representatives of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University participated in this event.

Representatives of state organizations, educational establishments came together to honour patriotism and courage of citizens who stood up for democratic values protection, people rights and freedom, our country national interests in autumn 2004 and November 2013-February 2014.

The welcoming speech was made by mayor deputy Lyudmyla Kyrylyuk.

Senior lecturer at USPU Social Sciences Chair, Candidate of Political Sciences Yaroslav Balanovskyi made a speech too.

The bloody events at Maidan left nobody indifferent; the most sensible was the youth. Students and pupils presented the audience their poetry, dedicated to the Revolution of Dignity. Student of Social and Psychological Education Department Olena Ustenko declared her piece of work “Maidan flames in my soul”.

The event was finished with fleshmob which was carried out by students of our university, in particular, students of Social and Psychological Education Department.

Let’s remember that our unity and freedom makes us worthy offsprings! We should preserve and protect this invaluable treasure! God save us and fame to him for our beautiful country – Ukraine!
