At Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University was held anti-corruption seminar, at which students of HEI could get to know about mechanisms of fighting against corruption at educational establishments.

The representatives of Student Anti-Corruption Bureau Mykyta Andreev (head of bureau), Oleksandra Novyk and Mykyta Yevstifeev shared a lot of useful information, their own examples of successful advocacy-campaigns directed towards fighting against corruption schemes at HEI.

During the seminar was held a presentation of Student Anti-Corruption movement. The student’s project of Student Anti-Corruption bureau started its work in February, 2016 in Kirovohrad, where All-Ukrainian of Student Anti-Corruption Forum has been held. 100 student’s leaders from all the regions of Ukraine participated in the event. They exchanged there experience on successful anti-corruption campaigns, visited a course of trainings and discussed their further common actions and directions in fights against corruption at HEI.

Members of the anti-corruption seminar at USPU discussed the following problems: legal principles and instruments in fights against corruption; measures taken to overcome corruption at entering the university; fights against corruption during educational processes, etc.

The representatives of Student Anti-Corruption Bureau accentuated on support from private organizations and mentioned examples of the establishments, where corruption schemes should be addressed too.

At the seminar the students have chosen head of Uman Center of Student Anti-Corruption Bureau – a 4th year student at Ukrainian Philology Department of USPU NataliaHrusha. Soon Center of Student Anti-Corruption Bureau will begin its work at our city. We wish it success!
