Thanks to the fruitful cooperation between the employees of the Scientific Library with Tetiana Yaroshenko, the Director of the Scientific Library of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy the Board of the "Electronic Library of Ukraine: the creation of knowledge centers in the universities of Ukraine” (ELibUkr) project made a decision to allow Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University join the project.

In order to increase the access to the global information resources, "Electronic Library of Ukraine" project was launched and the strategic objectives of the project were defined. The implementation of those objectives will provide a mechanism for exchange of information and improve the information base for research and educational activities of the University.

The project involves the subscription of licensed products of each university - electronic journals, e-books, database – the essential global information resource covering all branches of knowledge (science, technology, medicine, social sciences and humanities).

A powerful portal that directs the users to all types of electronic information lies in the basis of ElibUkr. The students, teachers and researchers get free access to all project resources.

Kyiv Mohyla Foundation of America initiated a project that started with the financial support of Regional State Agency for International Development (USAID) in Ukraine. It is also responsible for project implementation and management, including the convening of the Supervisory Board, Executive Board and Advisory Board of the project.
