During 3 days (October 7-9) Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University delegation took part in the festive inauguration of new educational establishment – Yann Amos Komensky High Professional School in Leshno (Republic of Poland). The delegation consisted of head of university trade union committee, pro-rector in social matters, candidate in agricultural sciences Oleksandr Osadchiy; candidate in pedagogical sciences, dean of Social and Psychological Education Department Oksana Kravchenko; candidate in psychological sciences, dean of Primary Education Depatment Borys Yakymchuk; candidate in pedagogical sciences, director of educational work section Nataliya Revnyuk.

Our university cooperates with this educational establishment in the framework of Higher education system European direction in academic mobility of students and teachers, innovative international programmes and projects carrying out, Yann Amos Komensky Polish-Ukrainian scientific laboratory of didactics, created by USPU, etc.

The inauguration was held in festive atmosphere according to the European traditions of High Schools: catholic public pray, accompanied by organ sounding, festive programme with first year students oath, Higher Professional School administration’s speech, Leshno city administration speech, establishments partners speeches, among them was USPU delegation. Our colleagues brought Ukrainian patriotic atmosphere and amazed the Polish by aesthetic originality of Ukrainian national costumes – embroidered blouses, the best present for the Polish was a song performed by Oleksandr Osadchiy.

In general the programme of scientific mission was rich in its content: there were excursions to Adam Mickevych Poznan University (Higher Professional School in Leshno is included to its structural units), excursions to museums, cultural and historical places in Poznan and Leshno, participation in work of Polish-Ukrainian laboratory in Leshno. There was a discussion between Polish and Ukrainian teachers and students who exchanged their points of view and meeting with USPU exchange students who had won scholarship to study in Poland.

USPU delegation was impressed by warm meeting in Poland, respect and authority recognition of our university in educational space, support of the Polish in uneasy for Ukraine times.
