“The specifics of the application of modern technologies in University education” nationwide scientific and methodical workshop was held at the Polish-Ukrainian Research Laboratory of Didactics of Jan Amos Comenius of Primary Education Department. The moderator of the seminars is Inna Osadchenko, the Head of the Polish-Ukrainian Research Laboratory of Didactics of Jan Amos Comenius at Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor. The seminars are organized with the support of Olena Yaroshinska, the Vice-Rector for Scientific Work, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor and Borys Yakymchuk, the Dean of the Primary Education Department, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor.


The teachers of Sociology and Psychology Department, Primary Education Department from Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, Professors of Primary Education Department from the Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University, employees of Cherkassy Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education, V.O. Sukhomlinsky Mykolaiv National University, Cherkasy National University named after Bogdan Khmelnitsky were active participants of the seminar.


The first (theoretical) part of the seminar was called "The essence of the concept of "education technologies in the higher educational establishments". The structure of education technologies. Classification of the modern education technologies". It was held as a lecture with discussions and questions using the following interactive teaching methods ("Brainstorm", "Working in small groups", "Incomplete sentence", "A number of questions"). In the process of this part of the seminar, the participants learned the essence of the concepts of "technology", "education technologies in the higher educational establishments"; hierarchical dependence of the concepts of "education technology", "pedagogical technology", "technology of education", "teaching methodology", the correctness of usage of the key concepts related to the subject ("interactive learning technology" or "technology of interactive learning", "technology" or "technologies"), summarization of the criteria for technological training, determination of the consistency and significance of each component of education technology.

The second and third (practical) parts entitled "Organization of the teaching and learning of students with the use of modern learning technologies" were also conducted using the interactive teaching methods ("Brainstorm", "Working in small groups", "Incomplete sentence", "A number of questions"). The seminar participants have obtained practical skills related to the separation of teaching requirements to the formulation of case assignments and formation of case studies, conditions of formation of psychological and didactical willingness of teachers to use modern learning technologies, formation of characteristics of didactic model of the use of modern learning technologies in the higher educational establishments.

At the end of the seminar the participants expressed their gratitude to the organizers, in particular to moderator Inna Osadchenko, and jointly identified the themes for further workshops.
