On February 22-26, The Embassy of Canada in Ukraine held the exhibition "Education in Canada" in three cities: Kyiv, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk. 25 participants represented the Canadian leading universities, colleges, secondary schools and language schools.

On February 22, delegation of Uman State Pedagogical University, headed by the rector prof. Nataliya Pobirchenko took part in the exhibition, placed at Kyiv hotel "Hyatt Regency". The delegation consisted of the coordinator of the University International Activities Oksana Zabolotna and Specialist of Foreign Students’ Department Anna Grebonkina.

Ambassador of Canada Troy Lulashnyk and First Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine Yevgen Sulima were honorary guests of the exhibition.


The exhibition’s work was started after complimentary addresses containing hopes to develop educational and scientific cooperation between the Ukrainian and Canadian universities.

University delegation conducted a series of talks on prospects for cooperation with Capilano University, University of Victoria, and University of Toronto. We hope that our initiatives will escalate into a successful program of joint students’ training, joint conferences organization, joint publishing of issues, research and professional training for the universities staff etc.
