Celebrating the Days of Poland has become a wonderful tradition at the University. It is not the first time that Mrs. Wieslawa Svyersch, the teacher of Polish language at USPU together with the students of Ukrainian Philology Department (Polish language specialization) and Individual Interdisciplinary Studies of Humanities organized "The Day of Poland in USPU." This year Rafal Wolski, the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in London was present at the event. He greeted the participants of the concert and expressed a hope for further cooperation with our University.

The festival was also attended by the representatives of the city and the University administration - the deputy mayor; Galina Kucher, the chairman of the Society of Friendship with Foreign Countries, Larysa Tkachuk, the Vice-Rector of Research Work, Associate Professor, Dmytro Baldynyuk the Vice-Rector of Scientific and Pedagogical Work, Associate Professor, Valentyna Koval’, the Director of Institute of Philology and Social Science, Dean of the Ukrainian Philology Department, Associate Professor, Oksana Zabolotna, the coordinator of international activities of the University, Associate Professor, Igor Kryvosheya, the Director of Scientific Work of the Polish Cultural and Educational Center, Associate Professor.

The festival with Yaroslava Komendra and Olesya Vasilenko as the show presenters was sparkling with good humor and wit. Everyone was impressed by the great vocal performances of Iryna Voronkova and Tetiana Gibalo (graduate students), Liza Zabolotna (graduate of the Individual Interdisciplinary Studies in Humanities), Oksana Lymar and Tetiana Motol (third year students). And the third year students Karpyk Yuliya and Olexandr Yakovenko together with the second-year student Vladyslav Butenko acted in the "Flowers" episode that showed their talents and skills in the comedy genre.

Given the fact that this year is the 60th anniversary of the death of the famous poet Julian Tuwim in Poland the event was dedicated to honoring his memory. The audience had the opportunity to dive into the depths of the Polish classics, listening to the poems by the famous poet recited by the graduate student Yuliya Kybalchuk.

But the biggest surprise for the audience, especially for Mrs. Wieslawa Svyersch, the teacher of Polish, was the speech of the graduate students in which they expressed their gratitude to their favorite teacher. The girls were singing a heart-touching song, and Tetiana Gibalo wrote and recited a poem dedicated to Mrs. Wieslawa Svyersch.

The atmosphere of the festival uniting the group of people who combined love of the Polish language and culture was very warm, friendly and easy-going.
