Nadiya Remezovska, the head of Foreign Students’ Department of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University took part in the Ukrainian Forum of International Education which was held in Taras Shevchenko National University.

The forum became a platform for  gathering together the representatives of higher education institutions tangential to international activities and training of foreign students, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Ukrainian State Center of International Education (study in Ukraine), the National Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education, the State Service for the Quality of Education of Ukraine, the State Migration Service of Ukraine and the State Border Service of Ukraine.

It was about Ukraine in the European space of higher education, tools for attracting foreign students for studying in our Universities and internationalization of education during the war.

The forum featured a presentation of the study "Foreign students in Ukraine during the war (2023-2023)" conducted by the Ukrainian State Center for International Education which reflected the dynamics of the decrease in the number of foreign students in the country from 76,548 in 2020/2021 to 51,676 in the 2022/2023 academic years.

Olena Shapovalova, the director of the Ukrainian State Center for International Education, noted that even in difficult security conditions Ukraine found out an opportunity to continue the education of foreigners and used various tools to popularize education. First of all it’s due to online exhibitions, remote exhibitions. A series of visits to the countries of Asia and Africa, the Global South is also planned in order to attract foreign students oriented at studying not only medical specialties but also at other ones.

Let's work hard so that education is a strong and stable foundation for the future of Ukraine!
