University sports hall receives guests from all over Ukraine. Boxing championship of Ukraine "Young Sportsman" among boys burned in 1997-1998 has started on December 6.

Representatives of boxing clubs from 15 regions and Crimea gathered in Uman to measure strength and identify the strongest. Organizer of this championship is All-Ukrainian Sports Society "Spartak", a branch of which has been operating in our city since 1947.

More than 100 children and adolescents involved in this sport under the emblem of the Society "Spartak". We have tangible results - a significant number of champions and winners of Ukraine, three boxers have gotten the "Master of Sports of Ukraine" honorary title. So Uman was not accidentally chosen as a venue for the championship.

Welcoming the participants, the First Deputy Mayor Volodymyr Viblyi thanked to rector of Uman State Pedagogical University Nataliya Pobirchenko for the opportunity to host this championship in such wonderful gym. Chairman of the regional council of the sports society "Spartak" Yuriy Mrachkovskyi emphasized the high level of organization.

Sport activity in USPU is highly organized. Students have the opportunity to be involved in many sports, and the results speak about their significant achievements. Team of University highly qualified professionals and material resources, which are constantly updated and improved help to achieve such results. We want our students and youth of the city have an opportunity to exercise, because there is a sound mind a sound body!
