The biggest in the history of Ukraine UPC Powerlifting Championships and individual exercises among amateurs and professionals took place in Kyiv at the sports complex "Meridian". Athletes not only from different regions of Ukraine, but Belarus took part in the competition. Over 350 athletes participated in the championship. Team of Pavlo tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University was represented by three athletes who competed in "extreme bench".

In the end of competition our athletes showed excellent results. In the category of 55 kg weights among junior the second year student of Physical Education Department Vladyslav Moshenskyi won the I place. In the same category the I place among men was taken by the fifth year student of Physical Education Department Ivan Vergeliuk, setting a new record of Ukraine. The coach-lecturer of Sporting Subjects Chair of Physical Education Department Sergiy Ilchenko set another new record of Ukraine and won the I place.
