Today in Ukraine is celebrated Publisher’s, Polygraphy and Book’s Distribution Day. It has become a tradition to conduct a competition for the best manual and book. The results of the competition were summed up to the Day of Science at the Festive Academy in USPU. These two holidays are united by a philosophy: a book is an eternal treasure of the nation. To issue a book you should appreciate its value, you should take care of it and hand in from generation to generation.

During the celebrations of the Day of Science their rewards for professional skills, great contribution into development of modern science, sorting out scientific and pedagogical literature have become from pro-rector in scientific work and international collaboration Vladylena Sokyrska – winners of the competition.

The I place in the competition “The best book” took a group of authors – doctor of physic and mathematic sciences, professor Mykola Shut, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Mykhailo Martyniuk, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Lyudmyla Blahodarenko – with their book “Physics” for pupils of the 7th form of general educational establishments and a group of authors – doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Andriy Tereshchuk, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Oleh Avramenko, teachers Olha Vedmid, Yulia Prykhodko – with their complex of books “Labour Studies” for pupils of the 7th form of general educational establishments.

The I place in the nomination “The best manual” took candidate of philological sciences assistant professor Hanna Berezovska with her manual “Ukrainian Dialectology”. II places in the same nomination won doctor of historical sciences, professor Zinaida Sviashchenko with her scientific and methodological manual “History of State and Rights of Foreign Countries” for students of higher educational establishments.

In the nomination “The best monography” won a group of authors – doctor of geographical sciences, professor Hryhoriy Denysyk and candidate of geographical sciences Iryna Kozynska – with their monography “Industrial Landscapes of the uranic ores output in Ukraine”.

For their I place among scientists of Uman in the informational and analytic system “Bibliometrics of the Ukrainian science” ranking the rewards received senior lecturer at Computer and Informational and Communication Technologies Vira Kolmakova.

I place for the quantity of publications in scientific data base SCOPUS and great contribution in the university’s scientific results improvement took candidate of biological sciences, assistant professor Ruslan Yakymchuk.

I place for amount of scientific publications in the Institution repository of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University took the collective of Social and Psychology Education Department. The award was received be dean of the department, candidate of pedagogical sciences Oksana Kravchenko.
