In the assembly hall of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University was held Festive Academy, dedicated to professional holiday of scientists – Day of Science.
In May the celebration of Festive Academy in the framework of the festival of science has become a good tradition at our university. Day of Science at USPU is celebrated by both experienced and young scientists, doctorates, PhD students, students. They were glad to welcome honorary guests: head of Uman regional state administration Vitaliy Oliynyk, deputy head of Uman city mayor Olga Radchenko, deputy head of Uman regional council Petro Babkin, head of education department at Uman regional state administration Borys Bondar. The latter congratulated experienced and young scientists of the university on the holiday wished them further achievements in their work. The guests rewarded the university’s scientists with diplomas from regional state administration, city and regional councils, city and regional education departments.
Rector of the university, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Oleksandr Besludniy mentioned lecturers’ and students’ the most important scientific achievements, wished professors, lecturers and co-workers good health, energy, inspiration, optimism, new achievemnts and ideas for science’s prosperity.
Oleksandr Ivanovych delivered diplomas of assistant professor to candidate of pedagogical sciences Inna Laukhina, candidate of pedagogical sciences Tetyana Makhometa, and candidate of technical sciences Oleksiy Melnyk.
Rector also handed in charters of honour to representatives of professors and lecturers for their many years work and great contribution into development of national science – candidate of pedagogical sciences, assistant professor Alla Hembaruk, doctor of pedagogical sciences, assistant professor Iryna Kucherenko, assistant professor Vasyl Semenchuk, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Oleksandr Kobernyk.
Head of trade union committee Oleksandr Osadchiy delivered charters of honour for activities in trade union, professional training of student’s youth to senior lecturer of Informatics and Information Technologies Chair Oksana Zhmud, assistant professor at Technical Sciences and Health Protection Chair Lesya Kravchenko, head of Educational Technologies and Pedagogical Skills Chair Viktoria Makarchuk.
Oleksandr Semenovych congratulated bands, which recently got honorary rank “National Amateur Collective of Trade Union Committees of Ukraine” – guitar duet “Misteria” at Department of Arts (art director – Anatoliy Kovalenko), instrumental duet “Renaissance” (director – Tetyana Radzivil), and choreography group “Inspiration” at Foreign Languages Department (art director – lecturer at Choreography and Fine Arts Chair Anastasia Kryvorotenko).
Celebration of scientific traditions, achievements of the university’s scientists, students and PhD students was held in friendly atmosphere. Almost 200 lecturers and students were awarded for their achievements in different nominations. They are the university’s fame.
These scientists put a lot of their efforts to raise the level of our alma mater in accordance with European standards. Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, which remains the higher educational institution in Cherkassy region with the highest ranking position, has become a center of native language’s revival, scientific activity and international cooperation establishment
