An International Day of Civil Protection is celebrated on the 1st of March. On this day came to effect statute of Civil Protection International Organization that enlists 50 countries-members. The Day of Civil Protection is marked with the aim of knowledge propagation and training for struggle against possible danger.

Ukraine is a member of the Organization and celebrates this day, paying much attention to civil protection. Thus, acting rector of the university gave an order №34 from 19.02.2015 on the basis of Physics and Mathemetics Department to hold and instruction and training of accidents prevention and university worker’s traumatism exclusion.

The event was realized by leading specialists in civil protection and labour protection - assistant professor Oleksandr Melnyk and main civil engineer in labour protection Vitaliy Kolisnyk.

The training was held in the form of informative lecture under the title “Citizen’s protection in extreme situations”. During the training were considered the following problems: actions in extreme situations, terroristic acts, the other dangerous situations; necessity of attentiveness and protection measures after suspicious objects revealing, means of transport and people, which are suspicious; practical actions in extreme situations; rules of behaviour during revealing of explosive objects; first aid to traumatized and wounded.

The lecture revealed important actions in extreme situations: people informing and defence in protective buildings, opportuneness and correctness of individual protection means using; people special treatment, first aid in hemorrhage, closed and open breakes, fire accidents, etc.

The lesson was prolonged by a constructive conversation, all the present posed questions on behaviour in different situations. The specialists in labour protection and vital activity safety gave reasonable answers.
