In the USPU was held a holiday for admirers of stage mastership – a festival of theatre arts.

2015 was an important for Theatre of Drama and Comedy. First of all, the collective celebrated its 15th year! Secondly, theatre added the third film-play to its repertory (under the motifs of play by Ivan Karpenko-Kariy “Unlucky”), which became the first prize winner at All-Ukrainian competition “Theatre Triumph 2015”. Among theatre’s personal achievements – II grade diploma in competition of reciters at XV All-Ukrainian festival of amateur theatre and circus in the nomination “Recitation”. The competition was won by Larysa Sauliak. The theatre group joined first-year students from 8 departments of the university. The rehearsals were held in the recently open studio.

The program of the festival included pieces from play by Ukrainian classics – “Kaidasheva simya (Kaidash family)” by Ivan Nechui-Levytskiy, “Natalka-Poltavka” by Ivan Kotliarevskiy, “Naimychka (Hireling)” by Ivan Karpenko-Kariy, “Pharaohs” by Oleksiy Kolomiyets, “Lily” by Taras Shevchenko, “In fashion” by Mykhailo Starytskiy, “Stolen Happiness” by Ivan Franko, “The Eve before Christmas” by Mykola Gogol, “Nazar Stodolia” by Taras Shevchenko.

The hearing of plays was pleasant. Their parts successfully played the following students: Anastasia Dihtiarova, Bohdan Moroz, Karyna Minina, Diana Gorych, Antonina Kunytska, Uliana Kermach, Maryna Tyutia (Primary Education Department), Svitlana Stanisevych, Ivan Muzychka, Anna Ogorodnyck, Anastasia Mazuryck, Alina Yagufarova, Anastasia Sichkar, Maria Golovko (Ukrainian Philology Department), Verinica Maidanyuk, Lilia Tolstoguzova, Alyona Seredenko (Department of Arts), Veronica Grebenyuk, Iryna Chuchriy (Preschool and Correction Education Department), Vladyslav Petrenko, Andriy Boroday (Physical Training Department), Igor Zelinskiy (Department of Physics, Mathematics and Informatics), Anastasia Nakonechna, Oleksandr Andronik (Professional and Technology Education Department, Anastasia Shkurenko, Bogdan Groza (Foreign Languages Department).

The student theatre is constantly supported by administration of the university (rector, professor Oleksandr Besludniy), trade union committee (head – Oleksandr Osadchiy). Therefore the first night with new students-actors was paid attention to.

Pro-rector in scientific and pedagogical work, candidate of pedagogical sciences, assistant professor Olena Kirdan congratulated the students on their first night and wished them gorw and success. She wished a director of the theatre Natalia Alekseeva inspiration to present pleasure to adherents of theatre arts and bring fame to our university. Their greetings announced deputy head of trade union committee Inna Babiy, dean of Primary Education Department, candidate of psychological sciences, assistant professor Borys Yakymchuk. They delivered diplomas to the actors.

In the end all the participants of the theatre event congratulated on the approaching New Year’s Day and Christmas by singing Christmas carol.
