The Victory Day is a holiday that unites the representatives of all generations in their sincere desire to honor and respect the soldiers and veterans of the Great Patriotic War.

In April, a group of enthusiasts – the students of Arts and Pedagogics Department of the University under the guidance of Nadiya Baldynyuk, the senior lecturer in music was holding in the city schools a range of activities and concerts devoted the great victory. Those concerts were all about the World War II. Those were the songs that accompanied a soldier during the war being the soldier’s true friends in times of sorrow and joy, encouraging and inspiring for exploits.

The art and awareness campaign was held in different schools and in different classes - from beginners to seniors. But everywhere regardless of school and age, sincere and honest conversation with children about the history of a song and the famous songs of the war years produced the same impression on the students - pure emotions of sadness or smile, depending on the artistic contents.

Natalya Bevzjuk, Olena Korol, Olexandra Mazurenko, Anna Rudyck, Nadiya Anokhina, Rasim Bagirov, Anna Haysenyuk, Olexiy Zhovtyuk, Anna Stryhun, Angelina Teshko, Yana Zamriy, Marya Kozak performed for the young listeners "Ohonyok" , "In the woods at the frontline” , "In the dugout" , "Ah, the roads", "Darkie" and the famous "Katyusha". The students also performed some songs as they had been handed out the lyrics. And they did it so well and with much enthusiasm and gusto.

As usual, the event was concluded with the words of appreciation from the teachers and the students to the university guests. But the biggest reward for the authors and the artists were the happy faces of children and their desire to hold this concert once again.
