Team of scientists headed by Natalia Pobirchenko, the Rector of the University, Dr. of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, associate member of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine participated in the "Effective education and training methods in Bologna Process" International scientific and practical conference held on the 18th and 19th of April in the Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture (Makiivka, Donetsk Oblast).

The conference was dealing with the internationalization of education systems, ensuring quality and efficiency of higher education, legislative support for the modernization of higher education, innovation in the learning process, integrating scientific research and its role in training.

Opening the Plenary Session, Yevgen Sulima, the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine touched the issue of improving the quality of education in the context of the Bologna process, requiring the implementation of new technologies, developing and strengthening the scientific researches of the universities, and improving the distance education. According to his words, all this is going to provide qualified Bachelors, Masters and Doctors.

The foreign guests, including the scientists from the Italian Republic, the Czech Republic, the Russian Federation and others were participating in the scientific discussion.

The cultural program of the conference was also exciting - the participants familiarized themselves with the exhibition of achievements of teachers and scholars of Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture in educational and research activities, social protection, they visited the department of the "History of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 museum."

But the highlight of the cultural program was the foundation of the “The Alley of Ukraine” near the main building of the Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture (Makiivka). Yevgen Sulima, the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, together with the rectors of higher education institutions and students planted the trees on the eve of the Environmental Protection Day.

"Let this alley symbolize the unity of our interests, goals and objectives," said Yevgen Sulima.

A tree planted by Natalia Pobirchenko, the Rector of our University will be growing among the other trees on “The Alley of Ukraine”.
