On the 19th of June a joint seminar of the Ministry of Education and Science and "Elsevier" company took place at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The seminar was opened by Yevhen Sulima, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine. During the first session of the seminar our University was represented by Natalia Pobirchenko, Professor and Rector. She joined the other leaders of higher education institutions to discuss the terms of agreement between the University and "Elsevier" company concerning our access to the information content of scientific and metric database of the company.

The seminar was also attended by Olena Yaroshynska, the Head of the Research Laboratory of pedagogical competence of USPU, Associate Professor, Ludmyla Zagoruyko, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages Practice, and ?? Oleksiy Arep'yev, the Head of Information Technology and Computer Science of the University Library.

Representatives of the University met the leading specialists of "Elsevier", tested the Scopus science-metric database, and familiarized themselves with the products and services of the company.
