The lecturer of the History of Ukraine Chair Ihor Opatskyi received a scholarship grant for the implementation of the scientific project "The Intellectual Heritage of the Kurinnyi Family in the US Archives". Board of the Shevchenko Scientific Society in the United States of America in July 2017 approved the scientific project of Ihor Opatskyi, provided him with a scholarship for its implementation, and invited to make a report at the Society Hall in New York.

It should be noted that the Shevchenko Scientific Society in the United States is a scientific and cultural public organization, the diaspora center in America, and is the largest among the foreign centers of the society. The organization brings together scientists from American universities and other institutions that work and continuously publish the results of their research in accordance with their own scientific interests and traditions of Ukrainian national science.

The Shevchenko Scientific Society in the USA is a Ukrainian-American scholarly institution incorporated in 1948 in the state of New York. It traces its intellectual and scholarly lineage to the Shevchenko Scientific Society established in 1873 in Lviv, Ukraine. The headquarters of the Society in the US is located in New York City. Besides offices and lecture halls, it contains a specialized library, a depository of archives pertaining to Ukraine and the Ukrainian diaspora, and an art collection.

We Congratulate Ihor Opatskyi on a significant event and sincerely wish him success in scientific activities, creative inspiration and recognition!
