A conference of USPU staff with the report of Natalia Pobirchenko, the Rector of the University on the fulfillment of the conditions of the contract with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for 2013 was held on the 23d of December.

The report contained much information about the activities of the institution, the achievements of the teaching staff, the entire staff and student community (as 2013 was a remarkable year in many things for the University). But Natalia Semenivna said that the year was not complete. Indeed, it is hard to give an in-depth evaluation and fundamental analysis of the multifaceted activities of the University and each of the developed structures, participation in various projects, upgrading the position of University in the education area of Ukraine and abroad. The University has a lot to be proud of. One of our achievements is increasing the number of students. Analyzing the admissions campaign 2013 the Department of Cherkasy Regional State Administration has noted that our University is a confident and undisputed leader in the field of education, for the first time in the history of the region it has become the largest higher educational institution.

Natalia Pobirchenko says that it is always nice to report about the achievements but one needs to aim even higher to keep up with the times. To introduce the new issues, maintain the progress on the way to success is a necessary prerequisite and the reality of the University.

The Delegates congratulated their colleagues who had achieved professional success - Oleksandr Bezliudniy, Valentyna Koval, Inna Osadchenko, Zinaida Svyaschenko, Tetiana Kuznets, Andriy Tereshchuk, Oleg Avramenko, Natalia Koliada, Tetiana Kochubey. They have defended their Doctoral dissertations this year. Besides, 19 Ph.D. theses were defended. 33 teachers became Associate Professors, the title of a Professor was awarded to Olga Komar, Oksana Braslavska, Stanislav Tkachuk, Sergiy Polovka and Andriy Hedzyk.

Oleksandr Osadchiy, the Vice-Rector for Social Affairs, Head of the Trade Union was speaking about the implementation of the employment contract for 2013-2014 between the management and the employees of the University.

Yuliya Mudrytska, the Vice-Chairman of the Student Council and Natalia Revnyuk, the Head of Education Department also participated in the discussion.

The conference delegates adopted the "Internal labor regulations of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University" presented for their consideration by Oleksandr Bezluydniy, the first Vice-Rector.
