The Foreign Languages ??Department at USPU traditionally holds a concert every spring. It is dedicated to the graduates. After all, they will pass the baton to their successors – the junior students, they will bear the proud title of a graduate!

This year, the entire Foreign Languages Department gathered in the assembly hall on April 29, to congratulate the graduates of 2014 and present an exciting concert program in the framework of the Europe Days in Ukraine. This imaginary trip around the world enabled the audience to visit the countries the languages of which were studied at the Department, and to learn the culture of these countries.

The first country was France - a country of coffee and croissants as well as world masterpieces of fine arts. Walking along the streets of Paris to the sounds of enchanting melodies, the amateur artists showed the history of the country- from the French pastoral to modern France. Then, Federal Republic of Germany located in the heart of Europe brightened everyone’s mood with a jolly German song. Germany is the land of famous poets, philosophers and composers - J. Goethe, H. Heine, F. Schiller, F. Nietzsche, L. Beethoven and J. Bach. The concert participants visited China and gladly watched a unique Chinese dance. To the magic sounds of the guitar the concert participants traveled to the sunny shores of Spain. Passionate tango rhythms and lyrical Serenade fascinated the spectators. Finally, the participants arrived to the shores of England and plunged into the Middle Ages with the young lovers of Romeo and Juliet. Elegant dances, songs, “The Rumour” performed in a playful and charming manner brought up a flurry of emotions in the audience.

That's how the talented and inventive Foreign Languages Department students presented a unique atmosphere of each country, familiarized the audience with the national music, dance, poetry and drama, and gave the audience a real aesthetic pleasure.
