This issue concerning the professional competence of teachers of English was discussed at the meeting of the working group of the project implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the British Council in Ukraine.

The working group consisting of 12 people included three representatives of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, candidates of pedagogical sciences Oksana Zabolotna, Professor of the Foreign Languages Chair, international coordinator of the University, Alla Hembaruk, Associate Professor of the Chair of English and methods of teaching English, Olena Bevz, Associate Professor of the Chair of English and methods of teaching English.

During the three days of hard work the structure of project research was formed and the work to be done was distributed among the participants. It has to be completed till the next meeting. Hopefully, the coordinated work of the project group will make the teaching of English in Ukrainian schools a successful creative process in the interaction between teachers and students.
