On April 11, 2024, during a research internship at the State Archives in Olsztyn, Prof. Iryna Kryvoshei, together with the employees of the State Archives, Deputy Director Agnieszka Gorajczyk, Head of the Department of Access to Archival Resources Rafał Gielo and Yulia Balandina, met with the Director, Archivist and Notary of the Curia of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Warmia, Ph. Andrzej Kopiczko.

Priest prof. A. Kopiczko told a fascinating story about the history of the archival collection of the oldest archive in Warmia, existing since 1243, which includes cases from the Middle Ages to the present. He presented the most valuable archival materials from the 14th and 19th centuries, such as an ancient Bible written on parchment, metric books from the 16th century, a book with records of privileges and copies of property documents in Olsztyn and the surrounding area from the 16th century, documents written and signed by Copernicus, royal letters from the 16th century with perfectly preserved wax seals, a wonderful book from the 19th century, and a book on the history of the Mariak Hospital in Olsztyn. An additional bonus of the visit to the archive was the opportunity to see an exhibition of postcards from the archives' collections, which were issued on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the birth of Nicolaus Copernicus.
