The beautiful New Year tree and exciting fairy-tales invited the children of the University staff and students in the assembly hall on the New Year morning. The festive events for the preschoolers (prepared by the Preschool and Primary Education Departments) and for elementary school children (prepared by the Primary Education Department) were fun and amusing.

The New Year holiday is the best time ever, especially when a child finds himself/herself in the fairy tale and the tale personages come to life! It doesn’t matter how old you are and what kind of present you get from the magic Santa Claus for a recited poem or performed dance, the main thing is you should have fun in the team of your fairy dressed peers. The fact that children's gathering around the New Year tree, fun toys, interesting transformations, Santa Claus, Snow Maiden, dancing, singing is possible contributes to the brightest celebration of the childhood. The initiators of the holiday tried to make it memorable.

The New Year mornings were targeted for each age group of children to make everyone interested. Even for adults it is a fun holiday that brings up genuine smiles on their faces, let alone children.

The Trade Union of the University has put the gifts for the children into the magic bag of Santa Claus.
