The students of the Sociology and Psychology Department always prove that they are very talented and creative. And after an intellectual show all young people have proved that they are also the most intelligent ones. They had a unique opportunity to take an active part in the “Smartest” intellectual show which was held for the first time at the Department. The Department staff has helped to organize the intellectual show.


12 students participated in the show: Vadym Ignatov, Mykolay Grygoriev, Oleksandr Pochtar, Natalia Mishchenko, Alyona Zavalko, Oksana Tyrsa, Olga Kogut, Natalia Kolinchak, Nadiya Gergel, Olga Kulenko, Leila Hasanova, Anastasia Kaliyan.


Maria Krayeva, the Master student was the presenter of the show. The work with the audience and intellectual and entertainment competitions were performed by Olga Pidgorna, the Coordinator of Student Social and Psychological Services of Sociology and Psychology Department and Dariya Myekhova, the Head of the Student Council.




The competition was summed up by the Honorable jury including Dmytro Pashchenko, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of General Education, Pedagogics and Management, Iryna Albul, the Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Chair of Social Pedagogy, Social Work and History of Pedagogy, and Natalia Shelenkova, the Chair of Psychology.



Participants nicely presented themselves in the warm-up of the competition and talked about their hobbies and unanimously expressed the wish: "May the best one win!" So that's what happened!

In the first round the contestants were dealing with a difficult task of answering 20 compulsory questions, selecting one of four options which 6 students succeed in and moved into the second round in which the participants had to choose 2 categories out of 12 proposed ones (including the theory of education, general psychology, pedagogy of family education, developmental psychology, pedagogy, social work, school studies, history of pedagogy, conflictology, social education, psychological diagnostic and "The Secret" category that included the category of "Social and Legal Protection"). The sequence of the participants in this round was determined using the decoder which students coped with remarkably quickly. The participants had to answer as many questions correct as possible per a minute. According to the results, the three finalists included Oleksandr Pochtar, Oksana Tyrsa and Olga Kulenko.

In the third round, the participants answered the questions in the chosen categories. The students got to the final in accordance with the results of the decoder again. The participants were showed the colored field and given 30 seconds to memorize the cells painted in their color. Oleksandr Pochtar, the first year student of Sociology and Psychology Department was a doubtless winner of "The Smartest" intelligent show. He was awarded the cup by Oksana Kravchenko, the Dean of the Sociology and Psychology Department. All participants received diplomas and memorable gifts.
