In the framework of the 85th anniversary of USPU celebration and the 10th anniversary of Foreign Languages Department was held the opening meeting of Scientific and Research Laboratory of Linguistics, Culture Science and Comparative Linguistics.

The meeting was open by dean of Foreign Languages Department, director of Regional Centre of Foreign Languages Studies candidate of pedagogical sciences, assistant professor Nadiya Brit.

On the occasion of such an important event at the university addressed all the present pro-rector in scientific work and international cooperation of USPU, candidate of historical sciences, assistant professor Vladylena Sokyrska. She wished lecturers and their students effective work.

Head of the laboratory, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor at Foreign Languages Theory and Practice Chair Iryna Biletska acquainted members of the laboratory with the main directions, tasks and perspectives of its activity. Deputy dean in scientific work of Foreign Languages Department, candidate of philological sciences, assistant professor Tetyana Piontkovska informed on peculiarities of student scientific work in the context of the laboratory activities.

The vivid discussion was caused by a report “Urgent Problems of Contemporary Linguistics”, presented by candidate of philological sciences, assistant professor at The English Language and its Teaching Methods Chair Oleg Komar.
