Viktoriya Polekhina, the Head of the Student Employment Department was speaking about the specifics of the rights and obligations of employers and alumni at the meeting with USPU alumni. The discussion was dealing with the employment of university graduates receiving their education in accordance with the state order carried out on the grounds of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine № 992 of August 22, 1996 and the relevant amendments.



Oleksandr Grusha, the leading expert of the department drew attention to the legal aspects of the possibility of obtaining the right for self- employment, the necessary documents and the terms of their submission. Besides, the issues relating to the cancelation of graduate Agreement allowed for a number of valid reasons, were in the focus of discussion.



With the help of multimedia the sample documents for employment (ratio, referrals for employment) were displayed at the seminar. The graduates were familiarized with the specifics of filling the work record books and receiving a lump-sum. And most importantly – the young professionals learned about the vacancies our University was informed about by the regional education departments, city and district departments with which we signed agreements on cooperation, training and employment. Olena Petryk, the representative of the Education Department of Uman district administration voiced the list of vacancies for graduates. The schools of Uman district are looking for teachers of mathematics, physics and chemistry. Olga Korzhovska, the Head of personnel unit of Uman Penitentiary, Major, invited the graduates to train for junior inspectors.



Thus, employment of university graduates as always remains a vital issue of the Department of Employment for students, teachers, heads of chairs and creative laboratories, the deans who work in close collaboration with the administrations of high schools and general departments of education.
