On the 25th of June there was a grand event at the Arts and Pedagogics Department - the practical part of the state examination in dance performance. It is traditionally organized as a concert. The Choreography Department graduates showed their performances of various themes and genres.

The culture of different nations was introduced by Inna Cherednyk ("The German Polka"), Ivanna Ryzhenko (Polish folk dance "Krakowiak"), Arina Babushko (Moldavian folk dance "Zhok"). An unusual love story was presented by Yana Psaruk (“LoveStory”) and Olga Hytruk ("Who's the victim?"). Multifaceted emotional world was revealed by Alina Vysotska in her "Memories" and Natalia Vysotska in "The ocean of emotions". At the end of the concert the audience enjoyed "Gopak" Ukrainian National Dance performed by Iryna Hroshovyk.

The exam was attended by the administration officials headed by Natalia Pobirchenko, the Rector of the University, Professor, the representatives of local governments, as well as members of the "The Jaques-Dalcroze technology as a means of creative expression of future teachers of art disciplines" International Scientific-practical seminar recently held at the Arts and Pedagogics Department.

Nobody was left indifferent to the brilliant choreographic performances! The hall was overwhelmed with festive atmosphere of creative joy and emotional excitement! We will remember the beautiful dance holiday for a long time!

And after the exam there was another important event - in the solemn atmosphere Natalia Pobirchenko, the University Rector and Professor, awarded Boris Kolnohuzenko, the longtime friend of the institution, National Artist of Ukraine, Academician, Dean of Choreography Department at Kharkiv State Academy of Culture with a Diploma and a mantle of the Honorary Professor of USPU.

During the recent years he cooperates with the Arts and Choreography Department at USPU, conducts workshops, and provides technical assistance and scientific advice to teachers. Therefore, the solemn rite of Professor Initiation of Boris Kolnohuzenko was a long awaited event and a deserved result of our collaboration.
