In the morning, the Ministry of Education began to receive numerous calls for help from the students of the Kyiv National Linguistic University and their parents.

According to their words, the unknown belligerent young people introducing themselves as activists of the "Repulse" civil movement the representatives of which were the members of the Student Coordinating Council blocked the entrance to the university building, roughly interfered with the students, faculty and staff of the Kyiv National Linguistic University and prevented them from getting into the university building.

As a reminder, on December the 4th the administration of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine met with the students and members of the Student Coordinating Council and reached the agreement on prohibition of any violence towards the teachers and students who wish to work and study.

The Ministry of Education reminds the members of the Student Coordinating Council of the need to adhere to the agreements reached during the meeting and to respect the Constitution of Ukraine on the right to affordable education and encourages the Student Coordinating Council to condemn such actions and prevent the recurrence of such situations in the higher educational institutions of Ukraine.

Similar cases of violations of the rights of students and teachers during this week took place at the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University, Kiev National University of Construction and Architecture, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design.

Such actions by the participants of a peaceful assembly violate the Constitution of Ukraine, threaten the safety of students, faculty and staff of universities, and they are considered unacceptable and unjustified!
