The USPU Agrobiostation is the pride of the Nature and Geography Department. It should be noted that only a few establishments, especially pedagogical ones, have their own facilities for field practice of the students. The USPU Agrobiostation history goes back to more than six decades, from the Botanical Garden in the 50s of the XX century in one of the laboratories of the Department where practical classes in biology and agriculture took place - to the present status of an integral part of the Department – the platform for educational and research activities of teachers and students. During this time the Agrobiostation has changed beyond recognition. Everything we see today is created ??and grown by our students. Their intelligent supervisors were the teachers headed by Ruslan Yakymchuk, the well-known scholar, caring Dean of the Nature and Geography Department, Ph.D., Associate Professor. But their work would not have been so successful but for the people who were happy to provide assistance. The Agrobiostation is taken care of professional specialists, responsive, friendly people who see the future of our youth in science and education. One of these people is Volodymyr Osadchiy, the Director of the "Basis" firm in the village of Kochubiyivka Uman raion. The Agrobiostation annually receives financial and technical assistance in the maintenance area from the agricultural firm. Mykola Gordiy, the well-known and revered Director of the Greenhouse Company managed to realize the dream of several generations of USPU teachers to create a greenhouse that would surpass the modest ambitions of the teachers. But for the sponsorship of the team of Pehivskiy unit of Zvenygorod Forestry and the assistant forester Mykola Boyko who helped to foster the growth of the vegetation at the Agrobiostation, we would not be able to enjoy the fascinating diversity of species of decorative bushes and trees.

Over the last 14 years the Institute of Plant Physiology and Genetics, NAS of Ukraine has been conducting the joint researches with the staff and students at the Agrobiostation on the request of the Nature and Geography Department at USPU and, Ruslan Yakymchuk in particular. Words of gratitude towards everyone were voiced by Sergiy Kots, the Deputy Director of the Research Institute of Plant Physiology and Genetics. He presented the team with a 4 volume monograph written by the scientists of the scientific establishment.

Grygoriy Kazydub, the veteran of labor at USPU Professor who was one of the founders of the Agrobiostation, expressed sincere gratitude for the invitation to attend the event and wished the further prospering to the Agrobiostation.

The mutual efforts created another unit for educational work of the students - "Plants are the symbols of Ukraine" Museum. The opening ceremony of that establishment was held at the Agrobiostation Open Day. The idea of ??creating such a museum was suggested by Oleksandr Kobernyk, the Director of the Institute of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Technology Education, Professor. It was realized in the life by the students of Nature and Geography Department specializing in "Biology" whose work was guided by Liubov Sobolenko, the Assistant Professor of Biology and Methods of Teaching.

“Gonta” male vocal trio (Vasyl Semenchuk, the Honored Worker of Culture Ukraine, Petro Voloshyn and Valentyn Kupchyk (art director) and the University Symphonic Band directed by Boris Basyuk were creating the festive mood at the holiday.
