At first we perceive words… in cradle songs, fairy tales, caress… With the help of words we identify world, reveal mystery and complexity of the following sciences: geography, history, biology, physics, mathematics… Philology is a source of knowledge which widens and grows to a powerful river.

Native language is a big treasure which is handed in from generation to generation, unites past and future. Day of Ukrainian Written Language unites us for the country’s development and strengthening, formation civic outlook. A nation is strong if people love their native language. As a famous Ukrainian poet says, “… Spirit of native language is mysterious, as a golden river it sparkles in national songs, creates sensitive indissolubility of Ukrainian heart and land”.

On this festive day we wish to love and protect native language, take care of the main treasure of our culture.
