Recently, at Chemistry, Ecology and their Teaching Methods Chair of Nature and Geography Department together with educational establishments of the city was held a talk show “Chemistry without boundaries”. Teachers of Chemistry Olga Grechyn (school №5), Olga Smyrnova (school №14), methodologist of city methodical association Tetyana Plusch, pupils of school № 5, students and lecturers of the department participated in the event.

In the beginning of the event educators shared their experience on organization of extra-curriculum activities in chemistry, principles and methods of conducting extra-curriculum classes in chemistry. Special attention was paid to separate directions of chemistry teacher’s skills development, collaboration among school and HEI.

The event was bright and offered interesting chemical experiments, such as, “Chemical signal lights”, “Foamy fountain”, “Chemical cut”, and “Vulcano”. The pupils prepared performances, they were dressed in thematic costumes, which were followed by interesting chemical experiments, songs and dances.

Such scientific and entertaining projects motivate both pupils and students to study chemistry which is a fundamental subject, an interesting science with a lot of good and exciting experiments.
